Yeah if we've got to do an offroad capable BMW It's going to be hard because there is no such thing...
Anyways I'll see what I can do...

hehe. sorry guys.
BMW themselves said they saw the potential market that land rover's range stormer concept hinted at. i was thinking of something like that

Well the Range Stormer's (RR Sport's) most logical counterpart, then, would be the X5 4.8, I'd say...
In any event, I think my entry will be more of a crossover than an SUV.

Its amazing how themes feel so lukewarm when you first hear them, nevertheless they get exiting when you start working on them. I felt as Idealess for the roadster contest as I am now with this BMW offroader thingy, but I know it would turn out to be a worth while chalenge.

I like the layout of the car, but the wheels look awkward... I don't know if it's because they're too big, or if the car is simply riding too high, but it gives the whole vehicle a kind of cartoonish quality. Nevertheless an innovative design which showcases your nice and constantly improving sketch technique.
Well here's my take. BMW X6; a sort of Mercedes CLS, or Mazda RX-8 of the SUV realm... it's got 4-doors, but it's more of a sporty, offroad 2+2 than a full out SUV (that's the job of the X5, anyway). Bangle-ized, to a certain extent, but I tried to tone down the "flame surfacing"

this is disappointing. i really wanted to see what you guys would come up with, as it seems like an idea that could be done so differently. and, well, my drawing looks a heck of a lot like domino's. even the suicide door thing. and the 3er headlamps. but here goes:
the new X6 revolutionizes the sport-utility to a whole new level. with seating for four and a suicide-door system, the X6 has the room and the capability to carry friends in style. the design of the X6 is BMW's flame surfacing to the next level; crisp, taut and sharp lines define each and every surface variation. the rear fender is pronounced sharply, even more so with a sweeping character line complimented by a bowed-up rocker panel with surface definition of its very own. the front represents the epitome of flame-edge design, with a soft, convex hood surface dipping into sharp, edgy fender peaks, sweeping from the inner headlamp edge up. the bottom air dams connects the front with the iconic kidney grille while reflecting the headlamp shape and incorporating a hanging foglamp. out rear is a less-pronounced and sleeker variant of the BMW bustle-tail trunk, with a strong rear bumper form and two solid rear exhaust pipes rounding out the package.
p.s. check the wheels. i kinda liked them

enjoy!

knihc: Very nice work man, the rear view is especially nice. I agree with fblacka that the rear view is much cleaner, though. Awesome coloring man.
ford_gt: I uh... well I'm not sure what to say either. Dismissing skills entirely, there isn't an ounce of BMW here. Not even the twin kidney grilles. Perspective is nonexistant, it looks almost abstract. Like... a BMW from the perspective of a cubist painter, or something. I just don't like it. Sorry... keep working....

This is kind of an MPV/SUV. It has a range of engines from a 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0 diesel, a 2.5, 3.5 and 4.4 petrol and the 5.0 V10 from the M5 and M6 goin in the X6M. It has remote kamikaze doors and a remote split tailgate. Yes revilo_, nice job... nice front view, especially. I see what you're trying to do here, but I see your design as more befitting the X5 or even X3... it just looks like a regular SUV to me.
*edit: sorry, now I see that it's supposed to be an MPV, which is another valid direction to take this. To be perfectly honest with you, that paint thing of yours looks like crap...i dont know any other way to put it...And I take it as this is all a joke and everyone seems to be falling for it but me, but judging from your other paint chops, it is hard to believe it is a joke and that you are actually serious...on another note, you know I've never gone into the design threads...i should start drawing...I've done some designing before, and while my work isn't great, it's not too bad...i should give it a shot one of these days...

Testarossa, it's interesting and rear and side styling are nice but front doesn't look any bmw-like.
Maybe let's take another voting method? I came up with an idea, maybe you'll like it, maybe not.
So, while voting, you'll have 10 points to give. And doesn't matter how many of them you give to a particular persons, and doens't matter how many persons you choose. Here are some examplifications:
1. John - 10 points
-------
1. John - 6 points
2. Kate - 4 points
-------
1. John - 6 points
2. Kate - 3 points
3. Tom - 1 point
-------
I hope you get what I mean. You have 10 points to give and you give them to everyone you want, but you can't give more than 10 points.

Im sorry but ford gt40 it says on this site paint is allowed but shadowing or other such effects must be added, so why do you insist on using it and not shadowing etc then proudly proclaiming it...Get a better program or sketch somthing by hand then scan it...you will have much better results and less criticism this way...
testarossa7- the rear looks really nice...and im glad you entered the front you did not the last one posted...its a lot better in my opinion..
Entries look great and voting should be interesting especiallyif new voting rules are put into practice...
Can any1 comment on what they think of mine...good and bad criticisms wanted...cheers...
