Hi,

It's wonderful that the boards are back up. I really do enjoy discussing styles / looking at renderings / sharing our passion for this crazy industry :)

This said - is there any thing we as regular users can to to help when the site goes down? I tried emailing the person on the notification I received online when I clicked on explorer - but it came back as invalid email address.

Agreed with Crash! This is a small but great community, and it's really nice when it's up. :)

I did actually think CSS was dead and gone. Been checking it every so often to check up, now it's back! :)

We can start by caring.

The fact that this thread exists at all is indicative of people caring.

I thought its last rites had been written. Even deleted the bookmark on another computer.

I thought CSS had disappeared forever too but was very glad to see it back up. I care very much about this forum even if I don't always have a chance to post that often.

Here is the issue, I still need to determine where we are ultimately hosted and how stable said hosting it.

The other issue is, if we were to move servers I am not sure how much hosting would cost and would not want to be asking members for money for hosting if I could not afford it or would have a shortfall each month or every so often.

^ guess all we can ask is to be kept in the loop if/when price decisions are considered

Why not?

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but I'd be more than happy to set up a standing annual or monthly payment to chip in to keep this ship afloat.

Surely I can't be the only one? With so many awesome members on this board, I'm sure we could raise the money for hosting in no time if need be. I understand people in different regions might have different levels of disposable income, but I'm sure the ones that do and are regular members of the board wouldn't mind.

I also don't think it's unreasonable to ask for a small amount of $ from members....
