i'm getting started on mine soon. i'm actually going to enter the shannon series 8 (which i haven't shown here before since i don't have any good drawings of it), but i'm going to make some decent drawings (front, rear and interior) for this contest.

It seemed that people didn't have the time to enter two contets so we are just going to have one for the minute.
Of course it's not my decision, but I figure we can try out the "one contest" thing, and if people feel like two contests at once is a better way to do things, then we can go back to that. We still wanna see your Porsche entry!! So definitely finish it up and post it! And who knows... perhaps that contest topic will come up again

i have an idea. after this contest, one of the mods can just unlock the porsche contest, that can be the next contest. or the other way around (porsche contest first, this one second) although i am eager to see the luxury sedan entries

I've decided for this contest to revive a dead marque: Daimler. In my opinion (since, late in its life, Daimler was basically Jaguar) Daimler could be revived as a member of Ford's Premium Automotive Group, and could again be a heavy cooperative effort with sister company, Jaguar.
While the new model, a rebirth of the "Empress" title, shares its underpinnings with the Jaguar XJ LWB (platform and supercharged V8 drivetrain), its bespoke aluminum body panels, 22 inch chrome wheels, and sumptuous interior make the Daimler an even more luxurious and sporting alternative to its Jaguar stablemate.
The idea behind the rebirth of Daimler is to give buyers unparalleled luxury and performance in the full-size luxury segment whilst providing a much more intimate, personalized buying experience. Each Daimler Empress V8 is constructed to individual buyer standards; exterior paint color, wheel style, interior leather colors, a choice of 5 interior trim finishes, and various other options are decided by the customer before production, and a Daimler associate accompanies each customer individually through the entire buying and building process. At Daimler, our goal is to make each vehicle a unique representation of its owner.

Modified by DoMiNo at 11:37 PM 3/8/2005

Guy: Neat idea... though a Ferrari sedan seems like a bit of a stretch, given Maserati's new role as its "luxury" counterpart under FIAT. It kind of seems like it would cannibalize sales of the Quattroporte (which in itself assumes you'd be able to get the price even close to 7er, A8, or S-Class territory, which given the fact it's based off an F430 may be hard to do anyway). But nevertheless a wonderful, clean design, and very creative.

GRANTURISMO1234: Great effort, especially for a kid your age. It's very elegant, and very detailed. The rims are a great touch, as is the Maybach-like glass roof. That is one heck of a big grille, though. Like Graffititech said, rough but very good for your age, and you nailed the concept, in this case!
SV: Another great entry... the attention to detail is phenomenal. The drawing is beautiful, and the car itself is understated (but still elegant); it seems like a good competitor for the Phaeton, but I think it lacks the WOW factor of cars like the 7er, Quattroporte, S-Class, etc... Nonetheless an amzing job.
Whipster: Very cool design; the shading is top notch. I like the fluid design, it's very elegant and very different (very Italian!). The wheels are kind of small, though. Hope you get to draw a front view!
Avant: Could you post a larger picture of your drawing? Looks like a pretty edgy design, and I like the side window profile, but it's riding too high... lower it a bit and make the wheels a little smaller. Cool though!!
Everyone, awesome job!

The Cadillac ULS Ultra Luxury Sedan.
Combining the edgy style of Cadillac's current Art & Science theme with old-school curves and dramatic, swept back classical proportions, the ULS takes Cadillac design to an entirely new level of modern. The front is dominated by a bold grille featuring two prominent chrome "teeth" flanking each side of the grille. A combined headlamp/brake air dam evokes the vertical taillamp clusters which are a key styling feature of all Cadillacs (and mirrored at the back of the ULS, with a similarly integrated LED taillamp/exhaust module). Side fenders rise above the clamshell hood and drops down, almost meeting a sharp side strake; the two then join and comprise the rear fender flare. Usual upright carriage-type greenhouse is the prominent silhouette of the ULS, albeit in a much sweeped back, sporty demeanor. The design culminates in a beefy, sturdy, and confident rear, with a drastic cut-off trunk edging over the license plate holder.
Enjoy!
