I thought I'd seen everything there was to see of the original Fox Mustang design process, but there's a few here I've never seen. All are positively crap-tacular and lean much more Fairmont than Mustang.

I actually kinda like #14. I think #13 is supposed to be an Escort.

Thanks for posting them. I had seen them before. What's sad is the '79 was pretty ugly and yet by far the best of the lot.

Absolutely true. Some of them would have looked dated before release. Even the best look hardly more exciting than a 1975 Ford Taunus/Cortina or the Brazilian CorcelII/Del Rey

I actually didn't mind the 79 Mustang. For its time, it was just fine. I also liked the mid' 80's evolution / euro headlamps.
