View Full Version : Contest 4 - EV

01-20-2011, 04:41 PM

In the time between conventional combustion engines and fuel cells one technology stands a chance at being popular - electric vehicles.

You can use any image of your choice to create a new electric vehicle (or EV) car for an existing car manufacturer - or your own fictional company.

Get inspiration from the existing EV models and concepts such as the Riva G Whiz, Chevrolet Volt, Renault Twizy, MINI E and many more.

Entries for this contest should be submitted by 26th January 2011.

Thanks to jappelflapje for this contest idea.

I've made an Infiniti EV. It's the Nissan LEAF brother/sister. That's according to the rumours have the same platform. It's not a little changed Leaf, but a whole new designed car.

It was recently reported that BMW and Brilliance China Automotive Holdings will develop an electric vehicle for the Chinese market based on the platform of the BMW 5-Series, and a concept version of the EV will be displayed at one of the big auto shows in China this year.

I'm just toying with the idea an EV version of BMW 5-Series LWB (especially since the LWB version was developed for China initially), with different grille, headlights and front bumper. At the back, am experimenting with 6-Series rear crafted to the 5-Series' body. You can also check out the rear rendering here.

Ugh, way late but here's mine anyways.
It's a Scion IQ EV. I was inspired by BMW's EfficientDynamics supercar.... not sure how it turned out here but oh well I tried.
