ill take 2 please!
this thing sure is powerful. 400hp in a little car like that. sure beats any mazdaspeed mx5 mazda can come up with. can this car really rid 400hp of heat through one tailpipe?

Evidently. They are only making 100 of them. But the real exciting thing is that a V8 can fit the Kappa platform. That had been the subject of much debate and many excuses from GM. Maybe now that it has been shown to be possible, GM will stop lying to us and build some other good, light cars off of this platform.

It really loses the pleasent expierience GM tried to make with this car, but its also bound to be a lot of fun. Quite the performance bargin if nothing else.

I hope $38,000 is the total price including the car. This is the equivalent of the Corvette, just a bit lighter and cheaper. And also not nearly as safe. Might be a bit quicker, but I'm not willing to sacrifice safety for tiny bit more speed in this case. Plus, I already see discounts on the base 'vette, so a 'vette can be had real close to this price level. I wonder if they should just beat Pontiac to supercharging it, and tweak it a bit more for like 300 horsepower. That might be an alternative to the 'vette with a decent cost savings.

I'm pretty sure the $38,000 includes the car. Its quite the deal. Plus, its Mallett they're bound to have a supercharger for the Solstice out soon, it would be rather odd for them not to. What really interests me is that you apparently can get this package on the Sky as well, and on either one you can opt for a super or turbo setup as well. Can you imagine this already potent engine with a super or a turbo? The price would go higher clearly, but it wouldn't take a lot to bring this into Z06 territory from there with a lot less price. It would be a monster.

This looks amazing and with such a high power output and great driving dynamics I think Pontiac will have the biggest success story in the US this year with both the base Solstice and this!

This seems too close to the Corvette.
How about something in between this and the regular Solstice... say about 280HP 6-cylinder for $30K?

If I read their site correctly, Mallett will be offering turbo/supercharger packages in the near future. With the right internals, one could easily reach 300 hp on the stock motor.

nice but if the American car industry wants to compete they will build more than 100 of them and they will up the options like H.I.D.
I had liked the car when they came out and I don't like many American cars , but then I found out it was a front wheel drive and that turned me completely off from it.
