The ESTIMA HYBRID CONCEPT
A new generation of stylish minivan that combines the latest hybrid system, THS II, with electric 4WD to achieve both environmental and driving performance
▪ The refined exterior is designed to evoke the identity of the Estima Hybrid in a sophisticated one-motion form.
▪ The interior feels clean and open. It is accented by a high-tech-looking central panel and is equipped with comfortable second-row seats with built-in footrests and power foldaway third-row seats that allow you to transform the space to your liking. Electrical appliances can be run on the provided 1,500-watt power supply system.
▪ From the perspective of environmental performance, the ESTIMA HYBRID CONCEPT is equipped with the THS II, Toyota's latest, highly efficient hybrid system, and an exhaust heat recovery system in the pursuit of low CO2 and other emissions.
▪ In addition to the quiet and smooth acceleration indicative of a hybrid vehicle, the ESTIMA HYBRID CONCEPT achieves increased driving pleasure through VDIMa system that seamlessly supports the vehicle operations of running, turning and stopping for all conditions from normal through to extreme driving. The combination of VDIM with E-Four (electric four-wheel drive) provides even higher levels of drivability.
source: toyota.co.jp

That will be, we'll see what production version looks like. It might be a facelift or next-gen version, it may be major facelift for sure.

Well i had a look at how long the generation Tarago/Estima b4 the current one was out for... and it was 10years. 1990-2000.... SOOOO this could be like a redesign of the current one (like Ford did to the AU Falcon with the BA Falcon...) same car but different exterior and interior designs and few mechanical changes and new technology stuff.
If thats the case then an all-new Estima would be due in 2010... which is completely new from top to bottom (like the 1990-00 Estima to the 2000+ Estima)

This is an all new Estima/Previa. Old model is now old and it stopped selling in many markets, including Europe.
Looks pretty damn nice.

This looks like a new model; all the body panels have changed (more than just a facelift usually). The production estima will probably look similar which may not be a bad thing (as minivans go).

The Previa is older. This hybrid concept just involves newly sculpted side body panels, a new butt, and a new nose (the shape and windows appear to be the same)

Wow! The Estima Hybrid Concept looks nice! Can't wait to see the actual production version!
Let's hope that the New Estima will have the fuel efficient D-4 technology on the 4cyl & V6 units!
