Yet another Honda Concept with ripped-off design elements. This one does at least have some Honda originality in the design (the front looks like a different interpretation of the Civic's), but the rear is a blatant rip-off of the Firepower concept.

Reminds me of the cab forward cars chrysler used to make such as the intrepid, in my opinion it looks cool!

10-05-2005, 02:20 AM
It's very reminiscent of the Intrepid, isn't it!
(I still like the look of the Intrepid and its siblings.)

10-05-2005, 07:58 AM
It is looks like an evolution of the Kiwami concept.
http://world.honda.com/Tokyo2003/auto/kiwami/
Again, beautyful interior.

10-05-2005, 08:03 AM
Yeah, looks quite like the Kiwami, but also has elements of another hybrid "sports saloon" which I cant remember.
Does the steering wheel need to much adjustment?

10-05-2005, 08:03 AM
the rearlights look like aston martin.

10-05-2005, 08:59 AM
just like the Kiwami it looks like some old Toyota hydrogen konsept..
the Fine-S and Fine-N

The front of it looks weird since it links to tHe new Civic hatch but in a MUCH bigger car..plus the general shape of the car looks awkward..but you know what, i love it! Honda lately shows a real commitment into taking its cars to the next level and this car could very well be a reality very soon. I dont care whether it is drop dead gorgeous or butt ugly, these are the "future" cars ive been dreaming of when i was a kid and its finally time we get to see them in showrooms some time soon. When Citroen unveiled the legendary DS it sent shockwaves throughout the entire motor industry..many ppl hated it but today it remains one of the most desirable and futuristic cars available..Come on Honda, please make this a reality and bring back the times where we looked forward to each decade to see some design innovation(and lay to rest overworked drag queens like the Peugeot 407 coupe)
ps:i am just reffering to the idea of such cars replacing large saloons, it doesnt mean i dont think this cars need a lot of rethinking when it comes to details such as the front mask and door handles for example

Any text to go with these pics?

The Intrepit has a far more conventional body in my opinion...if there are any visual similarities then it must down to less significant details

Here's the original Dodge Intrepid concept:

They're actually very different, but the Honda still says "Intrepid" to me somehow. Maybe it's the car's stance, or the C-pillar treatment. Odd.
The Honda also reminds me a little of the current Prius, particularly in profile from the B-pillar forward:

It looks like this and the Sports4 Concept are showing two possible directions fort the next Accord. Where the Sports4 is a mianstream American sedan the FCX is more out there like the new Civic. I see the Intrepid resemblance but Honda has taken the cab forward proportions to new level that Chrysler would have never tried. And of course the Fuel Cell drivetrain also allows them to go a lot more cab forward than they could with a normal car. On the whole, I'm seeing great things for the next Accord regardless of the direction they decide to go.

Say what you want, but this doesn't speak of rip-off to me. Much less so than the rest of the industry recently, and that is one of the most gorgeous interiors ever.

Honda will feature this device to make more power for Fuel-cell on FCX. It's called Home Energy Station (HES).

Source: response.jp

I think that if the front seats are gonna be so far forward, and the entire cabin so far forward, the wheelbase needs to be shorter, as does the cabin. To me, it just looks really stretched.
