With its distinctive combination of powerful, sleek lines and 2+2 comfort and refinement, the C-SportLounge captures the true essence of a 21st century Grand Tourer.
The C-SportLounge boasts an imposing front end, with a large air intake and elongated, clear-cut headlamps. The eye-catching look is further enhanced by the flared wheel arches, wide stance, high waistline and dramatic alloy wheels, whilst the sweeping lines have been designed to optimise the aerodynamics, and result in a drag coefficient figure of just 0.26.
Inside, the driver benefits from an aviation-inspired design. The driving position features a steering wheel with fixed central controls and gear change paddles, while the one-piece drivers seat and central console ensure that the automatic gearbox and climate controls remain within reach, whatever the seat position.
The use of high quality materials contributes to the luxurious ambiance of the interior, where a light and airy feel is ensured by the large windscreen and sunroof. Enhancing everyday versatility, the C-SportLounge concept car is fitted with reverse opening doors for easy access to the rear seats.
newspress

Modified by Ascariss at 12:20 AM 8/10/2005

It looks good, but Citroen needs to stick with one corporate face instead of several different variations.

no way it will look that good, the car in the spy pics seems much taller and shorter. this seems much sportier and almost GST in nature.
looks great though.

All Citroen concept cars look great, but I hate Citroen because they don't produce them. Even their newest cars look totally different. The C6 would have been a great car to bring their concept car design to production, but they failed again.

By far one of the best looking concept cars I have seen in a while.
Love the hunched up rear!

Looks incredible. They pull of the 'groper mouth' front end much better than Pegeout does.

Stunning! though they shpuld have been more careful with the color and the rims design. at first sight it looked to me like a Lambo!
btw, that's a 3D model right?

doesnt the front echo the Ford SAV too much??
http://www.autogaleria.pl/tape...m.jpg

actually the alloys are also pretty similar!!

Although they are abandoning this "policy" for the much more bland corporate face approach, Renault have demonstrated that it is through REAL design that you can differenciate cars... (their cars had, a couple of years ago, nearly all different faces...) If you need a badge to distinguish a car from another, well...that's not good design in my book. Shape, surface treatment, details, themes, etc... make up a good car, not a three-pointed-star or a lion+bigmouth just glued on the front or back...
As for this yellow marvel This is exciting, bold and so much Citron... I am glad that the people in Vlizy (is Boulay still Head of Advanced Design around there?!) are experimenting and looking at ways of reviving the image of the - historically, at least, before Renault took the role from them - quirkiest and most advanced of French (perhaps European) manufacturers.
And - going back to the corporate ID thing - Concept cars are MEANT to be different and experimental anyway... I am personally sick and tired of so-called concepts that only showcase future production car - where's the fun?
If the new Picasso looks anything like this (although I bet some of this will rather go into the next C5) it's going to be a stunner - and this is from someone who HATES profoundly the way the current egg-shaped Citron minivan looks...
This is just great: sporty, different, elegant, full of interesting details (the head & taillights, the "empty grille" - which has a whiff of Cx, BTW -, the silver winglets on the lower sides, the way the doors are cut, the small wheelarches that make the car look stuck on the road, the DLO, the...oh, I could go on forever!) and I cannot say loud enough that I LOVE IT (and love the idea that I am going to be in Frankfurt to see it in flesh and wheels...)
**apologies, getting a bit overexcited, here **

I think this concept is wonderful. Rear sight seems to be a bit limited though. Cant be a fun experience reversing this car when there are kids around.

Yes DrPetrus, but same can be said for any other vehicle that has sport somewhere in its name.
I just love this concept. I see in it the next generation citroen C5 (I think the 3-box design should be killed) . Citroen like renault is on a roll with their design. Since the C3, all the citroens have looked ....well...citroen.
