I just now found this on Skodas webpage, http://www.skoda-auto.com:
"Your first car
The Skoda Ahoj! is a design study compact mini-automobile for everyday use. It is also the ideal entrance gate to the motoring world for all young active people to whom it promises the dream of independence.
The Ahoj! was not created for the purpose of representing the frail fashion trends or the social status of the owner. The potential customer in this vehicle sees an ideal companion that radiates a sense for fun and practicality at the same time. He also appreciates its unique image.
The rather small vehicle offers surprising space. The wheels are positioned in the corners of the bodywork, and the front axle is positioned at the furthest point in front. For this reason, the legroom for the passengers on the front seats is a real luxury. The lowered line of the side windows provides a better view out of the vehicle also for children. The roof bars can be changed from longitudinal to transverse just by turning them."
I've never seen it before so I just assumed it is new. I actually hope it isn't new because it reminds me more of the first generation Twingo mixed with a little Fiat Panda than Skodas recent design concepts the Roomster and Yeti. The design sketches shows a little more contemporary ideas than the final product, I think. Anyway, here you go:

http://www.skoda-auto.com/NR/r...1.jpg
http://www.skoda-auto.com/NR/r...2.jpg
http://www.skoda-auto.com/NR/r...3.jpg
http://www.skoda-auto.com/NR/r...4.jpg
http://www.skoda-auto.com/NR/r...5.jpg
http://www.skoda-auto.com/NR/r...6.jpg
Sorry for the false alarm. After a little search on Google I found a webpage with a picture of the Skoda Ahoj dated 2002, so it looks like it's old news. Feel free to lock this thread since I, in my excitement didn't look for an already existing one.
http://www.autorevue.cz/Images/1110/11.jpg
http://www.archinet.cz/ApDownload.php?id=15896
http://www.czechdesign.cz/ilus...2.jpg
http://www.czechdesign.cz/ilus...1.jpg

It looks disconcertingly like it could have been a product they designed back in their cash-starved Communist era pre-VW. I've never seen it before, and I think its absolutely HIDEOUS in every way, shape and form, and from just about every angle.
I can see hints of Skoda Fabia around the nose and headlamp treatment, but the rest of it just looks absolutely appalling.

I like the design, but I do not think it is suited for the wealthier Europe.

This may ruin my credibility in every way, but I sorta like it. It's cute!! Mind you I would not be seen in one, although if I were an infant, I could definitely see sticking a toy car like this in my mouth and getting slobber all over it. Unfortunately the age group that would really appreciate bright colors and shapes would not be driving for another 15.5 years.
