04-26-2005, 07:43 AM
Oh yeah, the design is definatly russian! Here I found a site that explains that this car is actually based onto the S-class
http://www.maybach.ru/pobeda/index.php?ind=0

The Water Is Poison

This looks like something that would come out of Chip Foose's studio and I love it!

04-26-2005, 06:11 PM
YES..IT IS BASED ON S600
engine is S600, car is competely re-done from scratch... everything you see here is new.. Volga's don't come in auto transmittion so they installed one.. infinity LED lights.. looks awesome.. This car is for sale actually, I think it was about $100,000 +
I am Russian, and I heard about this car like a year ago

The Volga was a one-off car that was built specifically for a customer and was never intended to be a regular production vehicle. (the owner granted the company permission to show it).
As for this car, I love everything except for the rear. It is a bit heavy-handed and clumsily executed back there, and needs to be tweaked a bit.

04-26-2005, 09:06 PM
This is the only concept made and it is on sale currently, or maybe they already sold it.. The body stayed the same.
This means that this is not even a concept, this is just somebody who don't know where to put the money.. But I love it, looks great..

04-27-2005, 10:23 AM
It looks great from the outside, but the interior is spoiled by some crappy detailing, mainly the interior door pulls and seat controls.

04-29-2005, 09:00 PM
The interior seat controls, shift gate, and seats are obviously Mercedes-Benz (circa a few years ago); wouldn't be surprised if the entire car was based on a Benz. I'd guess previous-gen SL or CL coupe.
Love the body... looks almost like a chopped Mercury, but with just enough of a Russian twist. The fastback style is pretty cool too. There are some cheap touches, to be sure, but with boutique companies like this, there are bound to be compromises. In any event, I'd drive it

04-30-2005, 01:09 AM
The body is 100% Russian, they made it a little bigger though

05-02-2005, 10:09 AM
I just fell in love! This is retro done right.

05-02-2005, 11:44 AM
beautiful concept. retro done right with a cherry on top.

05-02-2005, 02:13 PM
wow this is pretty sweet. I like just about everything, but that rear logo/mid_light doesn't look right, but might look better in person, almost like a rear spoiler. I love the smoothness mixed with hard cuts.

05-06-2005, 10:07 AM
Thats beutiful

05-13-2005, 06:13 PM
infiniti fx rear lamps! chrysler-ish rear, but it still looks gorgeous and original!
based on s600... it must be huge
05-22-2005, 11:42 PM
Wow.. didnt know the Russians were capable of such nice cars. I like this redo so much compared to a mustang redo or a thunderbird redo because this actually looks classic. Come to America GAZ!

05-22-2005, 11:58 PM
Yeah that looks mad.... i wouldnt mind a production version of this appearin in Australia... I dont like where the speedo and other one is located... they should just make it normal.

05-24-2005, 08:23 AM
This concept is very cool! It has a lot of elements from the original Pobeda cars, like: trunk shape, dash, and grille shape!
Look here at the original 1946-1958 GAZ-M20 Pobeda:
http://www.autogallery.org.ru/gaz20.htm
and (of course) the Pobeda SUV. (The original SUV).
http://www.autogallery.org.ru/gaz72.htm
And GAZ-12 "ZIM":
http://www.autogallery.org.ru/gaz12.htm
And the ultimate Soviet car (the one that all Communist officials drove in sedan and convertible forms) - the GAZ-13 "Chaika". "Chaika" means "Sea Gull" in Russian.
http://www.autogallery.org.ru/gaz13.htm
There is also the "ZIL" that Communist elite rode in:
http://www.autogallery.org.ru/zil111g.htm - but I like the "Chaika" better.
Main page:
http://www.autogallery.org.ru/pgaz.htm
2FastDre.

I have waited already long time, but seams that nobody knows about that car.
This is custom car, ordered by some Russian billionaire.
Probably made on a base of big Mercedes (seat knobs on door).
This car is nothing to do with GAZ car factory, it is made in tuning shop.
It shows that Russia has good designers an also hands what can make the visions happen when there is money, but this is so in anywhere.
Anyhow, hope this is cleared some exaltation about that car.
Greetings from Estonia,
Urmet
Da pizda...Pobeda! Nice looking car, but still has too many old style hard edges to it, I say it needs to be smoothed out more. I wonder if the same company that showed off Volga concept is behind this as well. Company is called A-Level (In Russian meaning "1st class") they take a donor car and then switch the body on it...ingenious idea really. Like ex AM designer and Weismann GT.
