Its got some BMW surfacing going on on the hood, but this thing actually looks surprisingly original.

04-22-2005, 10:30 AM
and these are from Autoweek's forum.... and that originality starts to fade... AM... what could it be...<IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/icon11.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/icon11.gif" BORDER="0"> .... but it still is far the best Chinese car I've seen<p><IMG SRC="http://www.cardesignnews.com/autoshows/2005/shanghai/highlights/images/x-coupe-side.jpg" BORDER="0"><br><IMG SRC="http://www.cardesignnews.com/autoshows/2005/shanghai/highlights/images/x-coupe-rear.jpg" BORDER="0"><BR><BR>

Heavy dose of Bentley from the a pillar back. Look at it closely and you will find that there is solid plastic behind the grill and air intakes. This is just a mock-up.

04-22-2005, 11:25 AM
<br>yep... it has wery subtile mix of Bentley Continental and Aston Martin Vantage V8 lines... from it's side, it aperes as AM kind of sleek Bentley... chubby Mr.B on diet <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/biggrin.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/biggrin.gif" BORDER="0"> <p><IMG SRC="http://img187.echo.cx/img187/532/astonmartin05v8manu06jpg3la.png" BORDER="0"><br><IMG SRC="http://img187.echo.cx/img187/4569/bentleycontinentaldetroit03dv0.jpg" BORDER="0">

It isn't the direct copy that we've gotten used to though, so that is a huge step in the right direction.

04-22-2005, 12:17 PM
well they copied all the right designs for this one, cause its absolutely stunning. i love the hatch and taillight LED's

04-22-2005, 12:21 PM
I just noticed, but it does have a bit of the new XK in it as well.

Hugely derivative design, but an original at least. It's a step in the right direction.

04-23-2005, 06:34 PM
This car would be a great Hyundai if you ask me ;-)

04-24-2005, 11:28 PM
I don't know... the car, to me, feels a bit too heavy from the back end... <p>All profiles on this car are very nice except for the back end... sorta like how my old mx-6 was.

04-25-2005, 08:58 AM
Reminds me of a fastback version of the bmw 6-series.

04-27-2005, 10:24 AM
It's a Jaguar-Lexus XKGS Coupe

04-28-2005, 05:59 AM
Looks a little like a bently at the side,a 350z all over,new jag concept(light blue one) at side especially the vent,lights look kinda peogeot and has hints of aston.....RIP OFF!!WHAT IS IT WITH THE CHINEASE CAR MARKET..<br> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsad.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsad.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/bangin.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/bangin.gif" BORDER="0">

...at least, even if they did copy other cars' design cues, it's not as controversial as a lot of the other cars that were...copied: Chery QQ, Laibao SR-V...so and so.

04-28-2005, 06:54 PM
Oh wow..I don't know what to say..This is the best chinese car I have ever seen

04-28-2005, 10:41 PM
Looks like a Lexus SC 430 from the front. A huge step in the right direction. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/driver.gif" BORDER="0">

looks like a cross between the continental gt and the new m45

What country does this come from? Looks quite boring. Somebody like Aston Martin's styling, huh?

01-23-2006, 06:51 AM
It's Taiwanese company if I recall, from one of the auto shows last year in China.

i just noticed how raked the hood is, otherwise, a good looking car. but i still have problems with the bentley/aston insprition (even the wheels look bentley to me)

01-25-2006, 05:18 AM
The end result is a good-looking car that isn't an exact rip-off of any other vehicle.<p>Clearly it's been inspired by Astons, Bentleys et al, but there are much uglier cars to have been inspired by!

01-29-2006, 07:18 AM
It's a great looking car overall. It needs a Corvette engine uunder the hood.

01-29-2006, 09:46 AM
it kinda reminds me of a toyota supra.<p>heres the thing though..<p>this car was most likely designed by an art group that would not be allowed inside the republic of chins considering they are so oppressive and strict.<br>plus any manufacturing of this car would be done by the enslaved people of the republic of china.<br>13 year old girls on an assembly line...that makes me sad.<p>its a shame because it is such a nicely composed design.
