Kia Magnetis, 'cos it's not a car you see a lot of.

Hey, i love it! It think it looks MUCH better than the Opel Antara although it's a bit long (did you use Audi Q7 for it as well?)

No, I actually shorted the length. And no I didn't use the Audi Q7

Crap - I made an SUV too. I have a feeling people may not like my "eyebrow" headlights, but I was trying for something different. I did a taller, shorter version of the current headlight, but it look too bland and not svelte enough. Basically it has the turn signal above. Probably a DRL or something up there too.

Basic list of what I did:

- Heightened body, edited to lower the wheel wells. Doors are stock, but I added height in the form of a rocker panel (and made an emblem and stuck it there).

- Heightened front end - added more body between the grilles to give more of a truck look. As noted above, I also thickened the headlights.

- Upper grille profile changed so it's wider, more sharped edged and square.

- Fog lights and their grilles changed on the bottom of the bumper.

- Skid plate added (only part not from the original car - it's from an XTerra).

- Added another panel to the tail lights.

- Greenhouse made more upright and taller. Top edge is pretty much straight now, where the car's was dropping toward the rear.

- Rims patten changed - basically removed the detail. Tires increased in diameter to fill the wheel wells more, and to give it more of an off-roader cushion). Rim diameter slightly smaller as well.

I think that's it. Called it the "Insignia SRX4". Yeah - that's a Caddy. But it's a play on SR+X4(4x4).

Very sleek S2. My only complaint would be the little bit of funkiness with the passenger seat (driver's seat?). Other than that it's very fluid and well done. Fixing the interiors is always a pain though. I left mine as is for the most part this time - things are a bit off and stretched in there.

Yours is pretty cool too PorschePower. Reminds me of a beefy Tiguan in a way.

Ah poop. I just noticed some screwiness in my windshield. Can I re-upload it?

03-31-2009, 11:17 AM
I don't think anyone would've noticed that if you hadn't said something about it! :P

Sadly once your entry has been posted your not allowed to edit it.

Really like both the SUV chops we've had so far! It looks almost like Porsche-Power entry is a concept and Speedstick is the production version.

Hey guys! Im back.. Haven't been participating for a bit, because i've been really busy with uni work etc. not to mention lack of internet. Anyway here is my entry:

Holden's answer to the Ford Territory! This is what the Captiva was supposed to look like! :-P

Time Spent: About 5 hours.

Changes included:
- Shortened Wheelbase
- Increased Ride height
- Shorter front and rear doors
- Higher and Flatter less down curved bonnet
- Squarer Grille with Holden Logo
- Rear bumper brought in a bit more
- New Headlights
- New Rear Door Window
- New Back Window (The idea was to have it look like it wrapped around the back of the car with the tailgate window, to give a 'floating roof' look)
- You probably didn't notice, but there are holden logo's on the rims as well ;-)

Nice entries... I guess I'll have to come up with something else than a SUV/Crossover :-)

I had to do this chop really quick as i should e studying for my legal studies exam lol :)

Its pretty much just a shortened insignia i was going to add allroad style or focus X-road style plastic add on but i ran out of time. I personally think it is better than my embarrassing Mazda chop. also ran out of time to integrate the front on aswell.

in case anyone was wondering to save cost for this varient the door is left unchanged but as you can see when it is opened there is a bit of door without window at the end

Vauxhall Signum

I used Photoshop for this, still learning. I was using Paintshop Pro 9 before.

I was hoping that someone make a Signum version. And here it is, and very very nice! :)

Well done, accurick :)

Also, Porsche-Power's picture is shown twice..

4 - TheophilusChin (maybe not necessarily the amount of detail change put in as some of the others, but it's the looker of the bunch)
3 - Porsche-Power (I like it, but find the proportions a bit stubby. (especially around the rear door area)
2 - Speedfreak_77 (I want to like it, but I find it way too dark. I find it hard to see a lot of detail that might otherwise have pushed it higher)
1 - phantomex (I like the look - just less intensive a chop as some of the others on my list)

It was hard - I wanted to include S2 somewhere too - but phantomex won out.

Could we have a battle of two past rejects? We could pit all the losers of the polls against each other.

04-08-2009, 06:23 PM
Some suggestions - (new) Subaru legacy, Acura TL.

I think it might be cool to do a car from the past sometime. Like from the 60's/70's/80's.

Opps. I re-read the reply - I'll find some pics and PM them.

04-08-2009, 07:05 PM
Thanks Speedstick.

If anyone else wants to send me some pics please do, just send me a PM with a link to the image.

Will close the voting in about 12 hours from now then we can get Contest 8 under way.
