Is this the same as the RHT concept, which was developed with Pininfarina?

Chery = Visionary Vehicles right? If Malcolm Bricklin brings these cars to the USA at fire sale prices, they will sell. If the quality is in the running then more than a few companies should be scared. All of this assumes they can get past the law suits that are bound to happen with some of the cloned models.

Looks good...although defn. taken a lot of cues from others...espeically the back, a bit of Solara style with the taillight treatment.
Hornbag, imo, this chery looks a lot better than the cars chevy make...

So is this a production car or a concept. It looks a lot like a concept. Interesting choice of vehicle. I was under the impression that there was hardly a market for these type of vehicles in China. Not a bad styling job by Pininfarina, however, it's a bit close to a Peugeot 307 CC isn't it?

Quote, originally posted by Hornbag »

Looks like even the chinese have adapted the BMW 'boot hump' to their cars...

This boot looks nothing like BMW's recent designs. If you are referring to the trunk cutline cutting into the side quarter panel and running into the C-Pillar, this is a common characteristic of CC's. It is used to allow for the reverse openeing of the trunk so that the roof might retract.

Looks like a DB9 fused with a catfish in the front, and the strake coming off the rear fender is a tad much, but all in all one of the most original designs I've seen come out of this country, and one that I could see getting exported.

They're really working hard over there.. If that 2.0 4cyl engine is the engine we'll see in NA (which I believe it will be, atleast base) and the 144kw equals 193hp, I'm going to be really impressed...

Anyone else think this current crop of Chinese concept cars has more than a hint of Hyundai's 1990 concepts like the HCD-I, II etc?

shockingly good considering the crap chery and many others have come up with so far, but then again it was designed by pininfarina. still, nice looking and dare i say attractive, and the interior looks good too; if they brought something like this into production with just the smallest changes (as in the headlight detailing, which obviously can't go into production i think) and were able to somehow not only give the car decent reliability but also give it good, or at least passable, ride and handling they would actually have quite a few takers.
