KODA TO SHOW THE YETI DESIGN STUDY AT GENEVA INTERNATIONAL MOTOR SHOW
koda Auto will introduce the Yeti design study at this years Geneva International Motor Show.
kodas compact SUV design study implies the companys potential in a segment that is completely new to koda Auto. In terms of size, the Yeti fits between the A0 and A segments; positioning vehciles on the border between different classes is typical of koda.
The koda Yeti study demonstrates characteristics of future koda vehicles, indicated previously by the koda Roomster concept. Wrap-around windscreen, coated windscreen side pillar, and characteristic roof covering - to name just a few features of the new design trend.
The study design lacks aggressive features. The Yeti is perceived as a positive, friendly object representing an enjoyable contrast to other off-road and sports utility vehicles. This concept makes the Yeti as fit for city driving as off-road exploration.
Newspress

Wow, that actually looks pretty cool. Looks like a good way to industrialize the Roomster concept they had a few years ago, now it has 5 doors and a regular windshield. Good one Skoda.

To me it doesn't seems so similar to the Roomster...
The front end for example was much more rounded in the roomster concept...

it looks like skoda are getting serious about design, which is good. I like those rear door handles.
The front lights are similar to the previous concept they displayed.
The wing mirrors look different to the current skoda ones, because the indicator lens is in the middle of the mirror, rather than being at the bottom of the mirror as the currently are in the Octavia. They look like Mercedes ones!

so this is going to be the new MPV of skoda?
of course they have to tone it down a bit, but hopehully not too much. I like it, very nice, I didt like the look of the Roomster concept

adorable! Skoda outdoes honda element and land rover on its first attempt! A perfect small suv that would look good on a vw dealer lot in connecticut. vw, your cars are boring; please bring skoda to america now. amen.

I would actually consider buying this if VW ever grew balls big enough to import it. VW needs a lower cost brand in the U.S. and Skoda would be a perfect compliment to their line-up. Can't waite to see interior pics.

Looks a lot like the lovechild of the Fiat Panda and the Honda Element...
Anywho, I like it, and think if Skoda did build it, it would sell mediumly well.

Much better than that half-hearted, jacked-up Golf Plus mule they were trying to pass off as an SUV. So, VW, the only half-way affordable brand they have in SUV-crazy America makes a joke of an SUV, but Skoda, which basically on sells in Europe comes up with a more credible design, even if it's just a concept. Man, things are screwed up at VW!!!

Very interesting design wise, the A-pillar into roof-rack is kind of cool. Nice stylisticly, not bad even as a real car.

All I can say is that it looks production ready maybe 90%.

Take this for what you want:
You guys are taking this too literal... I feel this is a VW concept in disguise... similar to the VW Megallan was a concept for Audi under the VW badge. VW of A is already screaming to have this badged as a VW. I'm not saying anything more than that.

One more note... this is based off of the PQ36 platform...(Golf V).

I wouldn't mind at all if this was to go into production if they keep the exterior looks much as they are. I'd probably convert to Skoda ownership and buy one. I LOVE the way SKODA is stamped boldy into the bootlid, but that'll probably be one of the things they leave out if they put it into production.

Oh, wow, this really looks cool...
It is PERFECT for those of us who are too skint to actually afford a LandRover
Jokes apart, I am really liking where Škoda is going: this concept looks SO interesting (and it comes from a VAG brand!! Crazy...)
