How much smaller is this going to be than an F-150 crewcab? Why did they redesign the SportTrac before the Ranger? By the time the Ranger is replaced I'll have a nice condo on the moon-- on the good side

So, the Explorer is gonna have an Audi grill!? It's not bad at all but it's not Ford. The overall shape is awesome but it's look too much like a F-150.
(sorry for my english)

that side profile is absolutely gorgeous. so is this just an explorer facelift preview or is the sportrac actually getting revamped??

Wow now that looks like some real "sport" is actually going into the Sport Trac. Simply an amazing design, looks very funtional.

Kinda bulkier aint it? wow.... but i dont think they could make it that bulky cuz its really meant for utility and not for the SEMA like appearance.

Where does this car fit in? Is it like an upscale F-150? I have never really understood this car, although at least now it has the looks! Look how bulky and tough it looks!!!!

Grille is reminiscent of the new VW corporate face.. or maybe Audi. All in all a much better looking truck which I hope doesn't get too watered down for production. Unfortunately, considering Fords of late, I expect it to be pretty staid. I'd like to see if this translates well on the Explorer, too.

For a redesign, it looks very similar to the previous SportTrac, with small changes. It looks bulky and plasticky as well. As far as looks go, it is not up to par with the new looks from Toyota, Nissan, and even GM with their compact pick-ups. Furthermor, I'm sure power will be lacking to, because Ford does not make a competent V-6, and they probably won't drop their grossly underpowered antiquated V-8 into it either. I seriously do not understand what you all like about this truck so much.

I think this is a much cleaner design than other small to midsize pickups. The new Nissan Frontier is underwhelming, the new Toyota Tacoma looks relatively unchanged (and from some angles ungainly), and the Canyon/Colorado look cheaper and much less substantial than the Sport Trac concept.
I suppose it's just a matter of opinion, but I find it a nice step forward... and not at all "bulky" or "plasticky"..
