Oh my... The front is way to busy and the rear...well not much to mention regarding the rear.
So is this intended to move the Musso upmarket? Does not look to appeal the rugged off road market the Musso intended, IMO!

Well, at least they're not copying anyone elses designs. This can at least be qualified as original. Also, the designer is european, so you can't blame it in on local taste for cars. It's still ugly though.

Isn't this brand Korean, though? Last time I checked it was the Chinese companies that were making the rip-offs, not the Koreans.

Interior looks like some sort of cartoon drawing, front looks nice, back still looks like a Rabbit

Like the odious Rodius, this new Ssangyong has a nice interior, with perhapsa little too much going on design wise, while the exterior is a total dogs dinner.

At least the profile looks modern and aggressive. I am starting to digest the front end, but the rear...Geeza I dont know what they were smoking!

IMHO, the styling is a little bit fussy. Mainly around the fron grill area and the dashboard (which appears to purposely be trying to be different for not practical reason). The tail-lights don't follow therest of the design either. IMO, tis design could benefit from some minor stylistic adjustments that would greatly improve the cohesiveness of the overall design. Overall, however, it's quite a handsome vehicle that shares more than a passib resemblance with subaru's new tribeca.

SSANGYONG UNVEILS NEW 4x4 SPORTS ACTIVITY VEHICLE (SAV)
New 4x4 crossover slots in below Rexton
New-generation common-rail diesel
European debut at Frankfurt Motor Show
On sale early 2006
SsangYongs model renewal moves up a further gear with the Korean unveiling of the Kyron (8 June 2005). A 4x4 crossover, Kyron has been designed by Ken Greenley, SsangYong Motor Companys British creative director, to spearhead the companys attack on the increasingly important Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) market around the world. It goes on sale in the UK early next year.
SsangYong plans to export 37,000 Kyrons a year in 2006, many of them headed for Europe where the company is on track for a massive sales boost to 40,000 sales a year.
Kyrons European styling is blended with proven Korean build quality and technology. Its sophisticated engineering, as shown by class-leading multilink rear suspension, is matched by an emphasis on safety. Kyrons electronic control systems comprise anti-lock brakes with EBD, brake assist, active rollover protection and hill descent control.
The five-door, five-seater will be available with a choice of new-generation common-rail diesel engines including a 140bhp 2.0-litre unit.
Kyron will make its European debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and will go on sale through SYUK Cars network of 53 dealers in the first quarter of 2006.
Kyron slots in to SYUK Cars fast-expanding range below the Rexton 4x4, and comes hard on the heels of the Rodius seven-seat MPV that went on sale this month (June).
The Kyron was first shown as the SVR concept at the recent Seoul Motor Show.
