Here she come back! Very internal-Japanese-market design but nice.
Will it be narrow as its grand-mother?

fresh design even a bit better than the current model.
BUT the 'box' shape not my favourite and the height too high compare to other Japenese MPV.
Nissan Murano is better, why they dont design new Serena with Murano design elements.

I see this task quite difficult.
Murano is nice because of its long, sleek front, sculptured back weel-archs and low roof.
None of this can be done on a compact 7-seats.
It has just a different style from the european Nissan one.

Not bad, but I'd take the Lafesta instead.
I'd definitely take this over the Nissan Quest (LHD) and Nissan Presage (RHD):

i think this would do better in the states than the overly bizarre and not too well sorted out quest van they sell now

Im not big on euro cars, but if this was marketed here in the US, wouldn't be competing with the Chevy Express/GMC Savannah, and the Ford Econoline, and the Dodge/Mercedes Sprinter?

Its much smaller than those. even smaller than the lafesta and quest.

guess I envisioned it to be huge. I cannot picture it is small no matter how hard I try.

Not sure about Australia but here in Asia, we might get it sometime in 2006 (Taiwan will also produce this model).
Can't tell about Australia.
For New Zealand, I know that Nissan has filed a trademark for the "Lafesta". They filed it months ago but I don't know if the actual car will arrive or what.
As for me, I'd rather have the Lafesta and the Presage (and perhaps the New Serena).
Screw the Quest.
By the way scorpio14, do you know any place where can see a bridge with a Blue Flag on top???

Just wondering.

front does remind me of Porte and Scion's... It looks good, just needs a touch more flare on the sides...

Very nice design, but I wonder 1) can the Serena seat six American-sized adults, 2) can you fit the 175 bhp (SAE net) 2.5-liter I-4 engine used on the Sentra SE-R and lower-end Altima models and 3) get a decent NHTSA safety rating?
If it can do all three I wouldn't be surprised that Nissan might actually consider selling the Serena here, probably under an old name Nissan hasn't used in years: Stanza. If they market the car to aging Baby Boomers it would work, since it appears the new Serena van was designed for easy ingress/egress by older passengers.

The style of the bridge is similar to the ANZAC Bridge over here in Sydney...

I did a google picture search and got this pic of the Anzac Bridge
http://www.mujweb.cz/cestovani...2.jpg
that blue flag could be the Australian Flag (i dont know)
only thing is the bakground doesnt look like the area where the Anzac Bridge is located
God thats ugly. Its like 90's mini van smashed into a new modern people mover. The box shape look hideous. The dash set out is clean and nice, but this car is fawl.
It reminds me of the old one, i mean a lot! This is just a facelift eh?
