This new S class from AMG!! EXCLUSIVE, which means it is made specially for Russia... S class had a major success in Russia and Kazakhstan... AMG made an exclusive model, only 200 cars will be made and shipped to Russia and maybe Kazakhstan.. So this car won't make it to US, or other countries like that.. Made specially for Russian clients...

It's ok. But considering the market it should do well. Overall I'm not really impressed though.

Its pretty cool that they did an exclusive as a kickback for a market that has done them well. Is it just me, though, or is the design really starting to show its age? Maybe its just the pictures.
Seats look amazing.

as much as i love the s-class, i have to agree with syclone that it is starting to look dated (although i think it's just the proportions that are dated) it's cool that they made this especially for russia though

yeah, the design is showing it's age... But the thing is that new S class isn't going to be sold till what? 2006? People who will buy this Exclusive model, can easily buy a new S class (when it goes on market)..This exclusive model is actually pre ordered for special people. People who asked for it, already paid their money... These are very rich people, so they will easily buy new S class...

I've always found it interesting how manufacturers try to sell you on the point that the car is somehow more exclusive or superiro, by writing crap like "Exclusive", or "Limited" all over the freaking car. I guess it beats building something that is actually special.

what makes it exclusive is that there are only 200 built..

knicks125: The difference is that it has different seats and interior and exterior trim. I realize you don't understand the car industry very well (I've read tons of your illogical posts, but this is my first time replying) but it really doesn't matter if there's one change or one million changes. The S is an old car nearing the end of it's life. It's called marketing. Car companies have to be creative when a product starts to grow old so they're not at a huge disadvantage when their competitors start to roll out new cars. It's important to keep your product offerings fresh and new in the minds of consumers.
That's why they're building this car, so who cares if the "exclusive" badges result in over inflated hype for a product that probably does not deserve it? That's the point. You should think before you post 1000 times a day - your comments get old pretty fast.

Well in Russia you can see this car like hundreds of times a day, so they need something to keep the customers in their pocket. they restyled the interior.. that's what Russians like, they want something special, they want stand out from the rest of S classes..

ok some more news on this S-class.. It features: New design of the front seats, Rear seats with configs, Rare types of leather, rear types of wood, Red proline of seams, floor rugs with a trade mark "Exclusive"..The car is sent to Stutgart with these new add-ons, after that it goes to Afeltbach(don't know how to spell).. where AMG salon puts on exclusive side skirts, probably new tuning, and 18 inch spokes..

As you may or may not have figured out already, there's a thing called opinion, and I offer them in my posts; regardless of whether you might think otherwise, they are my opinions. I respect your opinions, and everybody else's for that matter, and i think you should extend the same common courtesy to me and also to everybody else. Maybe you are in a bad mood today, but that certainly does not give you the right to be name calling...it's just a forum, so don't take it so seriously, chill out, man!

Who told you that it's not rich? I mean have you been to Moscow..Damn, they have such nice cars there..man..A lot of rich people, You can easily spot like Lambo's, Ferrari's and a lot more cars. I heard that when Pagani Zonda was launched, one of the first cars was shiped to Russia.. Course outside Moscow, there are a lot of poor towns, but Moscow is something.. check out http://www.sv-art.ru and see what rich people do to their cars... OMG...

actually he is correct in saying that russia is not a wealthy country. It is true that most of russias wealthy people are concentrated in moscow or have homes there, but assuming that the entire country is like parts of moscow would be an error. The rest of the country (with the possible exception of parts of St. Petersburg and maybe Kaliningrad) is just not wealthy enough for high $80,000 cars to be relatively common sights. If I recall correctly, by world standards russia is actually considered a middle income country.

Russia is far from rich but there are plenty of people who benefited from the collapse of the communist regime... quite a large proportuion of Russian businessman became successful in the 90's

Now I understand that this car has special trim and AMG aero kits. What is so special? Did the AMG tuned it's engine and suspension?
I know some Russian people are getting rich and they do good jobs. But, it's not that special...I meant the car.
