Is there any difference between this and the Opel Tigra other than the grill?

03-02-2005, 11:52 PM
Im not a fan of that grille. When will it go on sale...

Around sometime late this year. The truth is i've already seen opel Tigra in press photos but it makes huge surprise in melbourne for this car today, i thought this car will be here next year. Maybe we'll get cadillacs very soon. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/biggrin.gif" BORDER="0"> <p><br><TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD><i>Quote, originally posted by <b>piokor06</b> &raquo;</i></TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Is there any difference between this and the Opel Tigra other than the grill?</TD></TR></TABLE><p>Well, not really, just the logo and name tag, i should put this on opel/vaxuhall tigra twintop tread but i'm sure it's not in this latest CSS fourm. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emwink.gif" BORDER="0">

This car looks funny. The grilled needs to be redesigned and the car looks funny with the top up

it's alwys been a quirky looking car...

It's just Vauxhall's 'Flying V' grille with Vauxhall's emblem replaced by Holden's.

03-04-2005, 09:04 PM
wow... they dont even try do they. at least they made the bar into a 'V' for vauxhall. now they just slap the holden badge on that one. i might excuse this a bit if it was a good looking car, but its not. why is gm bringing things like this to australia when they could be giving the rest of the world the commodore?

I saw one on the road yesterday.. It's a very very nice car to see.. I think the head light clusters on the version above are slightly diffent than the European clusters..

03-05-2005, 04:41 PM
i think you may be right about the lights - are they straight off the astra on the european one?

well the "holden" astra gets the opel style bar, so why does this get the vauxhall one, ugh, i give up

Can't wait for GM to bring that to the states and call it a Nova <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/bow.gif" BORDER="0">

why would they call it a nova? You'd really get some heritage based GM fans pissed if you did that...

i dunno, they call that sunfire on roids a GTO. Well and all those FWD V6 things the Impala, Monte Carlo and Malibu. Besides, the Tigra is the perfect size to carry the torch from the 80's Nova ecno car. I have faith in GM screwing it up somehow<p>
