One of the best interiors I've ever seen.......................

Nice steering wheel and the rest of interior area, also the front end looks more better for a facelift. Which means this facelift Laguna looks more nice than last model.
Website link for pictures:
http://www.km77.com/marcas/ren...a.asp

This looks just horrible. I never knew that Megane front could look so VOMITISHLY on Laguna.
But the interior is really georgeous

exactly what I was thinking...
I thought it was the i-drive when i first saw it...not always a bad thing though

It looks more MMI-ish than I-Drive-ish. Anyway, the Laguna will be far from having as many gadgets as those you have to set up in a BMW or Audi.

Mi german is... well, it's non existing, but i'm sure this article on AMS talks about a Laguna GT with A 2.0l Turbo 204hp engine. Anyone if they're keeping the V6? And what's the point of such a version anyway? http://www.auto-motor-sport-online.de/d/76003

A L4 turbo is A LOT cheaper than a V6 as well, and weights much less. And their performances are not that far away (the feeling of it is a different issue though).
From that point of view it makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?

Also, it's competitors sport oriented versions have v6's ( Mondeo ST, Alfa GTA... ) so if they were going that way they could go all the way and give it the Clio v6 engine. That too would save some money, although i agree with you that it wouldn't save as much as another version of their 2.0l turbo.
Or maybe AMS just got ir wrong and i've been posting here for nothing. Well... to each is one i guess.

For the UK market - there are two new Turbodiesel engines - 1.9 dCi 95 and 1.9 dCi 130 both Euro IV compliant.
The smallest engine in the 2005 Laguna range is the 2.0 16V in the UK anyway.

I don't think its the shape of the lights, but rather that weird black ring. Guess they didn't want to make it just like the Megane, but I think it would have worked better if they did.

This car has beautiful, solid lines and is also one of the safest cars on the road today. I can't wait to see the upcoming Renault Safrane!!!

I don't think there will be any more Safranes.
There's already the Vel Satis, and the Laguna III is just round the corner.

If that's true, then let's hope that the coming VelSatis replacement will be a "proper" sedan...
